Don’t Miss The Biggest “IF… THEN” of Your Life: Rededicate America 250

America’s Rededication to God
This is a critical hour in American history. It’s a critical HOUR. It is only an hour. Only a small window of time. Use it wisely.
Today, Sunday, May 17, 2026, Americans (imperfect citizens, imperfect leaders from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds and ethnicities) will unite in prayer, worship, Scripture, and testimonies as we rededicate of our country as One Nation to God.
The question is this. Will you join them?
Whether you like the personality or practices of our leadership or not, we must pay attention when the governmental leaders of the United States beg the nation to pray.

But what if their motives are wrong?
I’ve been listening to what people are saying online. I’ve been listening to my own thoughts too. We are tempted to judge the motives behind big events like this. But here’s what Paul said in Philippians 1:15-21 and his words still ring true today:
It is true that some preach out of envy and selfish ambition, wanting the spotlight for themselves. But others preach out of sincere love, goodwill and purity of heart.
“So how am I to respond? I’ve decided that I really don’t care about their motives, whether mixed, bad, or indifferent. Every time one of them opens his mouth, Christ is proclaimed, so I just cheer them on!”
Can we have the humility to take Paul’s approach? Can we decide whether we are left or right, whether we trust leadership or not, that as believers, we don’t care what the motives are? Can we just cheer them on because the Good News of Jesus Christ is reaching places we never saw coming through the mouths of people we never expected?
Wake up! Wake up!
This is NOT about us and our judgements and our persuasions. This is a critical hour in history. It is only an hour, only a small window of time. And the future of our country hinges on one conditional “IF.”
If my people called by my name will humble themselves and pray, then I will forgive and I will heal their land…
IF. That IF has never been bigger!
Your ability to afford groceries, be safe in school, read the Bible freely, gather in churches freely to worship together… The ability of your children and grandchildren to do these things freely down the road… Do you take that for granted? Don’t you remember the blood spilled out to fight for this only a couple hundred years ago? Only a few decades ago? Only last week?
Do you profess to follow Jesus Christ?
Then humble yourself and pray for your leaders. Pray for your country.
Stop spending your time, thoughts, convictions, and social posts judging your leaders.
- “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place.” 2 Chronicles 7:1-16
- If each Christ-follower prayed for our leaders for godly counsel and wisdom and insight and health and favor with even 1/10 of the energy we waste talking about politics, then our nation would be 1000 times more secure and united.
- If you want peace and flourishing in the city and country where you live, if you want freedom to worship God, then He gives clear instructions: pray for your leaders. (Whether you like them or not!) Pray for kings and others in power, so we may live quiet and peaceful lives as we worship and honor God. 1 Timothy 1:1-4
Even other countries are taking note of the historic moment we are in THIS VERY HOUR. See this article on how Australia made a call to pray over America during this rededication. Will you join them?
But how do I pray for America?
- Join the prayers to Rededicate America to God
- Join the Minute to Win It! Movement
- Give an hour a week to prayer for our nation through America Prays
If you join in prayer might very well be the biggest deciding moment of your life. Impacting more than you’ll ever imagine.
“If my people called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, then I will forgive them and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
We will celebrate the miracles God has done for this nation, and we will ask Him for more to come! Our country is just a baby. America is only 250 years old. And this is our chance to rededicate our people and our soil to the gracious hands of God.
The question remains… will you join in prayer?
