Bless the Work of My Hands
Father in Heaven,
You are lovely and true. Your works are good and all your ways are beautiful.
I’m asking you to bless the work of my hands. Whatever my hands find to do, help me work at it with all of my heart. Working for you and not for the applause of others. Whatever I do, whether in word or deed, strengthen me to do it all for your glory.
Help me walk humbly and serve whole-heartedly. Help me work with excellence and integrity, doing my best even if no one is looking. Show me how to lead a quiet life, working with my hands, to bless your name and to bless those around me.
Your joy is my strength and my song. Your works are glorious. The dolphin surprising us by the shore, the horses thundering across the field, lightning flashing across the clouds, fireflies turning dark nights into wonder, blue birds flashing color in the pines. These are all the works of your hands, full of splendor. Thank you that we get to enjoy the delightful works of your hands!
Anoint the work of my hands too. Help me be more like you. Teach me to create and serve and love and comfort, following in your ways.
