I'm gonna praise! - power & purity

We talk a lot about the power of praising God around here at Power and Purity. But today, we need to just do it! I’m just gonna praise God today.

I’ll start. You finish.

Father God,

You are Emmanuel, God-with-us. Thank you for not being a god who is far away. I praise you for your nearness, your presence, your comfort, your guidance. I love that you are with me. I praise you for promising to never leave me nor forsake me.

You are El Shaddai, God all powerful, almighty. I praise you because you created everything and you can do anything. Just say the word and it is done. You speak into existence things that did not yet exist. You speak blessing and life and provision over us. You move mountains and turn back storms. I’ve seen you do it! You slow down time and space, and you accelerate it too. I’ve seen you do it!

You are Jehovah Rapha, God who heals and God who restores. You heal the sick and you set people free from demons. I’ve seen you do it! You give sight to the blind. You make those who are wheelchair bound walk again. You give life and your restore. You make the brokenhearted whole again. I’ve seen you do it!

You are my Shepherd. You bring me back when I stray off the path. Even your discipline is a comfort. Your voice is sweet and affectionate and I know your voice well. I love your voice. I love the sound of you calling. Even when you call me into valleys where I do not want to go, I still follow because I want to be near you. I trust your voice and your leading over all the other voices. You fight off the foxes and wolves that come after me. You lay your life down to protect mine. I’ve seen you do it.

Thank you Lord. You are wonderful and trustworthy. You are good and kind. I love you because you first loved me. And your love has truly set me free. I bless your name today.
