The God Who Sees Me

When we come to know the God Who Sees Me, we find a sense of peace that can’t be explained or rivaled. We learn that the God Who Sees Me will reward, lead, and protect us on a deeper level. In all these things, as we come to experience the God Who Sees Me, we also grow in our fear of the Lord (instead of our fear of man and the approval or acknowledgment of others.) Knowing God sees us frees us from a whole bunch of heartache.
The Widow’s Mite
There will be times when we give and pour out and we don’t get any applause or gratitude. And that’s ok because there’s a grace that comes when we walk humbly with God. When we don’t care if anyone else sends accolades our way. When we aren’t looking for the approval or at-a-boys from others.
Jesus teaches us to do good in secret because the God who sees in secret will reward in secret. The God who sees me will reward me.
And when we truly trust in that promise, we can carry on. We can pour out and give freely and cheerfully without concern of what we “get in return” in the form of acknowledgment. This brings a deep level of peace.
Noah and the Arc
There will likewise be times when we have to obey the voice and call of the Lord when others don’t understand. At all. There’s a grace that comes when we lean into the Lord’s friendship. When we can press in without any encouragement from others. When we pioneer the challenging path with no one to discuss it with. When others mock, disapprove or discourage us, and we obey anyway.
Jesus teaches us to not worry about the path others are called to walk, but as for you, “You follow me!” The God who sees me will lead me.
And when we truly trust in the leading of Holy Spirit, we can carry on. We can follow and obey and trust Him without concern of any “approval” of those around us. And this too brings a deep level of peace.
Hagar and the Angel
And there will be times when we want to run away from the pain others cause us. There’s a grace that comes when we trust the Lord to protect us. When we can go back and face those who betrayed and abused us with all courage and dignity. When we can face those who caused us great suffering and not worry about the value they put on us, trusting that the Lord sees us and will be the judge of the matter. When we can submit humbly to the authority that backed us into a corner, gaslighted, or mistreated us.
The Word teaches us that we don’t fight against flesh and blood people, but rather the evil they partner with. The Word teaches us that the battle belongs to the Lord. The God who sees me has already won the victory for me.
When we truly trust that we have the victory already in Christ, we can carry on. We don’t have to run away when we know that the Lord sees every mistreatment and wrong done to us, and He will take care of the situation as we humbly submit to our authorities. And this brings a supernatural level of peace even in persecution.
The God Who Sees
When we trust that God sees us and live for the God who sees us, it truly frees us. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. It aligns our hearts with the Lord and not man. When we aren’t looking for the fleeting approval of others, we are able to walk our path in courage and peace.
The God Who Sees You will reward you, lead you, and protect you.
