Pray for Fun and Laughter!
Sometimes we don’t pray for what we actually need. So I’m here to remind you today… you need fun and laughter! So let’s pray for fun and pray for laughter!
A Prayer for Fun and Laughter
Father, I think you are the coolest. The more I learn about how to heal from trauma and sickness, the more I see your goodness. Because while the devil came to steal, kill, and destroy us through trauma and sickness, You provided an antidote. Yes, the blood of Jesus! And by His stripes we are healed! And also, you created our bodies to recover from trauma through play. What a joyful kind way to create us to mend and heal! And you say laughter and a joyful heart is good medicine (Proverbs 17:22). Indeed, it is!
So Lord, we come to you first just in awe of your thoughtful Father’s heart for us. We thank you for the ways you make us laugh! We thank you that your joy is our strength. We thank you for Jesus and His gentle, humble, jovial Spirit! And we praise you for the way you smile upon us.
So Lord, for now, we ask you for our needs. We pray for more fun and laughter! Provide our daily bread. Deliver us from evil. And help us have fun in our work and play. Make us laugh again. Help us dream again. Fill us with wonder. And fill our mouths with laughter and our hearts with joy today!
